Is the race USAT sanctioned?
Yes.

Are relay teams allowed?
Yes. 2-person teams may compete, where one person runs and the other cycles. Between each segment the timing chip will be passed from one team member to the other.

How many splits will you be taking?
Nine splits: run 1, T1, bike 1, T2, run 2, T3, bike 2, T4, and run 3.

Will the race take place in the dark?
No. Watkins Glen International does not have track lighting, therefore the race will conclude before sunset. It will, however, happen in the evening.

Exactly how hilly is this bike course?
Not too bad. Take a look at the interactive course map for complete elevation change information.

Can I ship my bike to the race?
Yes, you can. The Geneva Bicycle Center has graciously offered to accept bicycles shipped pre-race. If you like, they can also assemble, tune-up, and repair your bike pre-race, as well as disassemble and box your bike for shipment home. Jim Hogan, the owner, asks that you let him know beforehand if you plan to ship to his shop. Give him a call at (315) 789-5922.

Can I get my registration packet mailed to me?
Sorry, our USAT sanction forbids us from mailing registration packets because we need to see orginal photo IDs at packet pick-up.

I have friends coming to support me who would like to volunteer on race day. Who should they contact about volunteering?
Bless you - we can always use more volunteers. Contact me, the race director, using the form at the right and I will dispense instructions and eternal gratitude.

When will I be able to see my splits and final results?
Complete splits and final results will be available at the race track within two hours of the finish of the race. Results will be posted to this website by Monday following the race.
